Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of people and issues do you work with?
I work with individuals and couples—from teens to seniors—who are grappling with the impact of trauma and loss. My clinical focus is helping people understand how grief, unresolved trauma, and emotional wounds shape their lives, relationships, and sense of self. I also work with related struggles such as depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, substance use, anger, and relationship difficulties, especially as these intersect with experiences of trauma and mourning.
What’s your approach to therapy?
My foundation is psychoanalytic and psychodynamic, which means we explore the deeper emotional and cognitive patterns that shape your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships—not just surface symptoms.
Do you offer remote sessions?
Yes. I provide both in-person sessions in NYC and secure video sessions for those who prefer to meet remotely.
Is therapy confidential?
Absolutely. Everything shared in sessions is kept strictly confidential, in accordance with professional ethics and legal standards. Protecting your privacy is central to the therapeutic process.
Do you take insurance?
I do not bill insurance directly. However, if your plan offers out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement. I provide detailed invoices (superbills) that you can submit to your insurance company. I recommend checking with your insurer to understand your out-of-network coverage. For guidance, see my insurance information page.
What is your fee?
I am committed to keeping my services accessible; my fee may occasionally vary, so please contact me to discuss the current rate. I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee slots on a sliding scale for those with financial need, which we can review during your initial consultation.
